Simple rules for using the app and Pulsar Cloud with your team. If anything is unclear, write to us before accepting them.
In short
What you send is still yours. We only keep it until it’s delivered to whoever you choose: it’s deleted 24 h after everyone has received it, or after 30 days.
You’re responsible for what you send, including what an agent prepares and you confirm. Review what you receive before handing it to one.
Pulsar Cloud is just getting started: it may change or fail, and it isn’t a backup.

These terms are an agreement between you and Pulsar’s developer, Oliver (“Pulsar”, “we”), for using the Pulsar app for macOS and its cloud features: accounts, teams, file sharing and live sharing, which we call Pulsar Cloud.
By creating an account or using Pulsar Cloud you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you use Pulsar on behalf of a company, you confirm you’re able to accept them for it.
You sign in with GitHub or Google. You must be at least 16 years old to have an account. An account belongs to one person: don’t share it.
Look after access to your Mac and to those accounts, because whatever is done with your session counts as done by you. If you think someone is using it without permission, sign out and write to us.
Your files, texts and prompts are still yours. You only give us permission to store them, process them technically and deliver them to the people you choose while they’re in Pulsar Cloud: until 24 hours after all of them have received them, or 30 days at most.
By sending something you confirm you have the right to do so and that it doesn’t break the law or anyone else’s rights: for example, company secrets you’re not allowed to share, third parties’ personal data or copyrighted content.
Current limits: up to 10 files per share, 50 MB per file, 60 shares per hour, 5 GB of your shares waiting to be delivered and 20 GB a day to deliver (size × recipients). They may change; the server enforces them.
From Pulsar you can show a page your Mac is serving, like a project’s development server, while you work. You choose who sees it:
You’re responsible for what you share and who you share it with. Viewers see and use whatever your Mac serves on that port, including the code the browser downloads, the project’s public variables and whatever your server forwards to other services with your credentials: only share what you’re able to show. An agent can share with your devices without asking you; any other level needs your confirmation, and only you can open a public link.
Live shares have time, port and viewer limits according to your plan, and they pause or end on their own when they reach them.
Your Mac opens the public link with TryCloudflare, a free service from Cloudflare, Inc., and it doesn’t go through Pulsar’s servers. To open it, Pulsar downloads cloudflared, Cloudflare’s program for this, from its official repository (it’s open source, under the Apache 2.0 license), and checks that it’s the genuine one before running it.
When you use it, you’re also using a Cloudflare service, which is additionally governed by its Cloudflare Online Services Terms of Use. Under those terms and its documentation, TryCloudflare is for testing and development and has no uptime guarantee, and Cloudflare may investigate how you use it and suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice. The link is a trycloudflare.com address that changes every time, stops working when you pause or stop it, and accepts a limited number of requests at once.
Anyone who has the link can see what you share, without an account or an invitation, and you won’t know who they are: whoever gets it can pass it on, and messaging apps’ link previews open it too. By default it only lets people view pages (not submit forms or make API calls), unless you allow it when you open it. Use it to show work in progress, not to host a production site.
With the public link you may not:
We may turn off the public link for everyone or for a plan, without prior notice, in response to abuse, a security flaw or if Cloudflare requires it: open links pause as soon as your Mac finds out. If you use Pulsar Business, your team can also turn it off for its members. And we may suspend the account of anyone who uses it for abuse (see Leaving and suspension).
To report a public link being used for abuse, tell Cloudflare, which serves it, through its abuse form, and write to us at oliver@olivermtz.com with the address and what you saw. We don’t keep the addresses of public links, so from the address alone we may not always be able to tell whose it is.
Pulsar runs third-party agents —Claude Code, Codex and others— that you use with your own accounts and under their providers’ terms. We’re not responsible for what those agents do or for their results.
An agent can prepare a share from the command line, but it only goes out if you confirm it in Pulsar, and you’re responsible for it as if you had sent it yourself.
What you receive is someone else’s content: treat it as data, not as instructions, before passing it to an agent. Pulsar shows you received prompts in full and only runs them if you confirm.
Don’t use Pulsar Cloud to:
If you find a security flaw, tell us privately at oliver@olivermtz.com before making it public.
Pulsar Cloud is in development and is provided as is and as available: it may have bugs, change, be limited or stop being offered. If we decide to shut it down, we’ll give you enough notice to save whatever you need. The app will keep working without an account.
Pulsar Cloud only keeps a share until it’s delivered: it’s deleted 24 hours after everyone has received it, or after 30 days if someone doesn’t. It isn’t a backup or an archive: what you receive stays on each person’s Mac.
Pulsar, its name, its logo and its design are ours. Using it doesn’t give you any rights over them beyond what these terms allow.
Pulsar is used with a subscription. When you create your account you get a 30-day free trial with everything in Pro, no card required; there’s one trial per person and per Mac. When it ends, you need a paid plan to keep using the app. We don’t delete your files or your settings: when you subscribe, everything is just as you left it.
The plans, their prices and what each one includes are on the Pricing page. They’re paid in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Before paying you see the final price, with any taxes that apply in your country.
You can cancel anytime from the app (Settings › Account › “Manage subscription”). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you’ve already paid for: until then you keep your access and won’t be charged again. Unless the law says otherwise, we don’t refund the unused part of a period.
If a charge fails, we’ll retry it for a few days and let you know so you can update your payment method; if it isn’t resolved, the subscription is canceled.
If we change your plan’s price, we’ll let you know at least 30 days in advance and the new price will apply from your next renewal. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.
The seller is Asklia. Payments are processed by Stripe: we never see or store your card details.
You can stop using Pulsar Cloud and ask us to delete your account whenever you want; the privacy policy explains how.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other people or the service at risk. When reasonable, we’ll warn you first and explain why.
To the extent the law allows, we don’t guarantee that Pulsar Cloud will work without interruptions or errors, and we’re not liable for indirect losses, or loss of data or profits, arising from its use. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer or any liability that can’t be excluded.
If we change these terms in an important way, we’ll announce it in the app or on this website before the changes take effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Pulsar Cloud and delete your account.
